After the huge success of  the 2006 Quest3D competition we now introduce the new 2007 competition. Strap yourselves in and get ready for a battle of Quest3D skills that will be even more spectacular than last year.

This year we have a new rating system that involves four main categories and you will be able to win a copy of the long awaited Quest3D 4.0:
 

I Technology demo
In this category we look purely at the technological aspects of your entry. For example, it is possible to enter a beautiful piece of eye candy with limited functionality. Last year’s winner, The Azure Temple, is a good example of this. The techniques and design used in this demo were stunning, focusing purely on the graphics technology.

II Architecture
One of the most widely used applications for Quest3D is architecture. Projects in this category include  visualizing projects, buildings, interiors, gardens, industrial objects and much more. Key points in this category are realism, good lighting and materials and the ability to visually communicate an idea to the user.

III Entertainment
This category is all about fun. These are projects made to entertain people. Usually it means projects are based on original ideas, convincing characters, gorgeous graphics but preferably it’s a combination of many factors that make these applications shine. Entertainment is not only restricted to games. TV, film and theme parks are some examples of areas that also fall in this category.

IV Originality
In this category it’s all about rising above the masses. Here you can show that some you can create things that have never seen daylight before. There are no restrictions. In this category you determine the rules. Here you have to be crazier, more intelligent and more farsighted than anyone else.

Each winner will also get one of the first four copies of Quest3D 4.0 Power Edition and a free Quest3D 4.0 T-Shirt.
 

By entering the competition you give Act-3D B.V. permission to use your entry for promotional purposes such as screen shots, movies and using it as demo material.

You can only enter applications that are your own work and you have the right to grant Act-3D B.V. the right to use your entry for promotional purposes.

You are allowed to enter work created by multiple people. These entries may even be listed under a group name. For the winning group we will hand over the prizes to only a single contact person that may be indicated beforehand or we will pick one at random.

All entries are automatically be entered in all four categories.

Your entry can only win in one category

Competition decisions can not be disputed and by entering the competition you agree that Act-3D B.V. has the final verdict on winners, disqualifications and any other aspects concerning the competition

You may include your own logo’s in your applications, however be aware that overuse of your logo will be regarded as a negative effect on the overall quality of your entry

All entries must include the special Quest3D logo template. Call it at the end of your project so this logo will be placed on top of your project images.

Winning the first copies of Quest3D means Act-3D will send the one of the first copies to your address when Quest3D 4.0 becomes available.

Only entries that include this template to display the Quest3D logo will be seen as valid entries.
